Wonder how much time will I spend
Learning, searching, reading, blogging, mastering
These new skills
Will they provide a future for me
A new path, career, place of my own
Am I a teacher?
This year will define it
Will this be something made for me?
Or will I make it for others?
Eager, young minds
with their partly yet unwritten hearts
Am I able to guide their paths
To knowledge, understanding,
Choosing what is right, good and fitting?
To help them discover who they are
Where they stand in this wide world
Will I be there mentor, counsellor, even friend
When they need a shoulder
Or a listening ear
Or just a pat on the back
To carry on, cheer up, and have fun
In this only life that we have
Designing our best that can be ours
Is this me?
A teacher to be?
